Israel Day 1

After arriving from our long flight from New York and some trouble at the airport which made the trip even longer we finally made it to Tel Aviv. It was radically different then I thought it would be, I knew it would be modern but not like this. It was basically like any US or Canadian city you would go to except all the homes where stone. Apparently its law that all structures have to be stone or in the case of skyscrapers, steel. I suppose it makes the country look unified. We drove from there to Bet Shemesh the pictures from their arent all that exciting so I wont post to many.

From their we went to Jerusalem and had a "light lunch" which we learned after that meal meant "a feast of a thousand beasts". Here is a picture of us facing north I believe. the mount on your right would be the Mt. of olives and the kidren valley to its left.

Heres is a cool picture of the temple mount if you look closer you can see jebusite (sp?) city and the pinnacle of the temple (left corner of temple mount) where the Devil tempted Jesus. This is all for now I'll post more soon of this day and the garden of gethsemane.
